Tessa Carpenter is a Chicago based multi-faceted designer. Tessa has helped build brand identities, packaging design, web design, and promotional material for an array of companies both big and small. She has over 14 years of experience working both in-studio and independently as a freelancer.

Tessa has a broad creative background, having studied Furniture Design at the Rhode Island School of Design. Tessa’s training to think 3-dimensionally by building furniture transitioned well to graphic and web design as she thinks critically about every angle of a design project.

Since finishing her formal education, she has honed her design skills within the luxury furniture design industry at Holly Hunt, Quintus, and Egg & Dart before embarking on her own. In 2016, Tessa co-founded Juniper House, an online outdoor furnishings company aimed at to-the-trade sales. Since her successful exit from Juniper House, Tessa has worked with purpose-driven brands aligned with her values of rooted in good food, athletics & wellness, and the arts.

In her spare time Tessa loves staying creative, moving, and getting her hands dirty. She can often be found at the gym climbing, doing yoga, or sweating out a strength class; In the kitchen trying new whole food recipes with home-grown produce (and homemade compost!); In her garage studio throwing pottery on the wheel; or at a coffee shop designing invites and menus for group get-togethers. She is also passionate about zero-waste and sustainability.
