senior brand designer | january 2022 to july 2022

InVision is the world’s leading prototyping, collaboration, workflow, and productivity platform serving over 7 million users worldwide including 100% of the Forbes 100 businesses.

As part of InVision’s 55-person design team, I bridged the gap between product and brand. I worked cross-functionally with product, engineering, brand, and marketing teams to create solutions that drove user engagement and played a key role in customer acquisition.

brand design

I designed promotional products as a part of my role in the InVision design team. I worked closely with the brand team to create engaging and visually appealing products that showcased InVision's brand refresh. These t-shirts and bottles were used in go-to-market acquisition funnels and helped to acquire new customers as well as reengage existing ones. The designs I created were a key component in InVision's marketing strategy and helped to solidify the company's reimagined brand identity.

the future of work

I was a key part of the group that founded the ‘Future of Work’ influencer network. As part of my work, I collaborated with the Head of Global Leadership to speak with leaders from companies such as Discovery+, IBM, JP Morgan, and Deutschebank to learn about their best practices and ways of working. I distilled these processes and translated them into templates that users could implement into their daily workflows.  The templates offered workflow solutions for a range of business categories: HR, Project Management, Design, and Engineering, and helped teams work together more effectively and efficiently. These templates were used by InVision and helped to foster key relationships with influencers in the industry. The first product showcase of the ‘Future of Work’ featured speakers from Uber, Discovery+, and Google. My work with these influencers directly contributed to 3000 product showcase signups, 150 qualified leads, and 500k in sales.

collaborative template design

Lastly, I designed and developed a suite of collaborative templates for designers, product managers, and engineers to increase collaboration and make workflows more seamless. I worked closely with product, engineering, brand marketing, and other teams to create user-centric custom templates. These templates were designed to help teams ignite creativity and innovation, showcase inspiring work, get design feedback, think critically about proposed solutions, move from design to code quickly, and reflect, connect, and grow with their team. These templates were used by InVision and helped to generate new leads and increase sales.

Design Templates

In order to enhance the collaboration, efficiency, and creativity of remote-first design teams, I created a comprehensive suite of six purpose-built templates. These templates were designed to foster new perspectives, encourage inclusion during group meetings, and accelerate the work process. They included tools for ideation, inspiration, feedback, critical thinking, design handoff, and team health assessments. These templates aimed to ignite creativity and innovation, showcase inspiring work, solicit design feedback, encourage critical thinking about proposed solutions, facilitate seamless design-to-code transitions, and provide opportunities for reflection, connection, and team growth.

Product Team Templates

Targeted to remote Product Design Teams, I developed a suite of six Freehand templates to help them go from ideas to feature launch, helping them build experiences they're proud of and strengthen team bonds along the way. The templates included Brainstorm, Customer Journey Map, Project Kickoff, Daily Standup, Sprint Planning, and Retrospective. I designed the templates to invite team ideas and inspiration, take a walk in a user's shoes, overview the who/what/why, check-in, offer help, and make adjustments, set engineering to-do's and timelines, and recap success and note areas for improvement. These templates were flexible enough to also useful for both remote and hybrid teams as they can be used in live meetings or as async recordings. Additionally, they helped in aligning the team, identifying and removing blockers, keeping the positive momentum going, and planning and reflecting on the project's success and areas for improvement.
