TELESTRATIONS | BACHELORETTE EDITION

Design & Marketing pitch | 2022

USAOPOLY, a reputable game publisher, approached me to develop innovative marketing strategies for their popular game, Telestrations. Looking to leverage existing devoted fan bases, I proposed a marketing and design collaboration between USAOPOLY and the popular ABC show "The Bachelor/Bachelorette" for a special edition of the game. The project entailed creating a marketing plan and custom game design targeting the franchise’s 3.8 million viewers, with the objective of increasing visibility and sales by integrating the game into the show through product placement and curated sales packages.

I designed a limited edition Bachelorette-branded box of Telestrations. I carried Bachelor/Bachelorette’s iconic red rose motif throughout all the game elements – from box, to drawing booklets, to clue cards. I developed a list of clues to be used throughout the game incorporating vernacular specific to the show such as ‘Fantasy Suite’ or ‘Hometowns’.

In-store POP displays were devised to feature the game, as well as wine and snack brand partners, to provide customers with all the necessary items to host the perfect game night. Collaboration with brand ambassadors and "Fantasy Draft" groups was also planned to host game nights that would be featured on national television as the Bachelor/Bachelorette contestant visited fans, in line with the format of the show.

I planned to collaborate with producers to create a televised gaming segment with the cast of the Bachelor/Bachelorette to showcase gameplay and further market the limited edition of Telestrations. The project generated significant interest and offered a unique and engaging marketing channel for USAOPOLY.
